Imagine what would happen if we voted for real conservatives who would stand up for the people and actually enforce the Constitution:

On December 23, 1776 Thomas Paine released a pamphlet entitled "The Crisis" wherein he begins:

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value..."

As I have considered the state of our State and the state of our Nation, my concern has continually been drawn to the future which my children, indeed all our children, may yet reasonably expect. Thirty years ago Ronald Reagan posed the question, "Are you better off today than you were four years ago." I have come to realize that this question, while brilliant in its simplicity simply falls short of the question we should be asking ourselves. Instead, we should be asking ourselves "Will my children (and my children's children) enjoy a better future than I currently enjoy today?"

As our Federal Government overreaches its defined role and seeks to intervene in the minute and private aspects of our daily lives, it is incumbent upon us all to find the most qualified and verifiably committed people to serve as the guarantors of our Liberties already defined by our Constitutions; State and Federal.
